Dates for the Africa Mining Convention (AFMIC 2021) have been set. Africa’s much anticipated mining conference and exhibition will take place from the 13th to 15th July 2021. The event will significantly have an impact in the African mining industry with a successful virtual convention.
The convention, which is set to bring together major mining countries, firms, policy makers and different stakeholders from Africa, will entail detailed discussions on reforms, investments, technological issues and other matters relating and impacting on the value chain of African mining.
AFMIC 2021 will be a special opportunity for mining firms and service providers to give detailed description of their services and products virtually. This is in consideration of the social distancing protocols in respect to the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite the exercise being virtual, the platform has been tailored to incorporate tools such as live chats, video calls, pre-arranged meet-ups and such like engagements to make it a success.

The event, organised by Valiant Business Media, will have more than 30 renowned speakers from major mining companies, and over 100 participants. This is according to the CEO of Valiant Business Media, Mr. Shariq Abdul Hai who also mentioned that the Corona Virus had a negative effect on the events industry because of the social distancing protocol. Business networking has since been brought in a standstill. This event will however be designed in such a way that it will provide a perfectly consistent and coherent convening platform for stakeholders in the mining field to network and continue ineradicable business partnerships.
“We are confident that AFMIC will replicate the experience of the physical event and will be unparalleled in its ability to assemble mining stakeholders who will take to the virtual stage and deliberate over an effective strategic path to transform the African mining industry through collaboration and Innovation,” Abdul Hai said.
